Italy Inspects Dolphin Meat Claim

A secret video captured by a journalist from Italia Uno at a restaurant in the city of Civitavecchia has prompted an investigation into Italian eateries serving dolphin meat. Footage from the video allegedly shows a salad sprinkled with sliced flakes of dried dolphin filet. According to the journalist, customers order dolphin meat (which isn’t listed on the menu) using the code word: “black.” While dolphins are illegal, Italian fishing boats have apparently outsmarted the police—cutting off the fins and head of dolphins once they’re caught so they appear to be sharks.
